Everything curl Turkish Edition
🇬🇧 The Turkish translation and web version of Daniel Stenberg's legendary book 'Everything curl'.
The Turkish translation of “Everything curl”, the comprehensive guide about curl, one of the most important tools in the open source world, has been completed. The project is now live as Her Yönüyle curl.
🇹🇷 Türkçe: Her Yönüyle curl
What is “Everything curl”?
Originally written by Daniel Stenberg, the founder of the curl project, Everything curl is a massive resource that provides in-depth information not only about the command-line tool curl, but also about the underlying libcurl library, HTTP protocols, and how the internet works.
The book covers everything from how the project started to what it is today, development processes, and how to contribute. As Daniel says:
“This book is intended to be interesting and useful to both casual readers and somewhat more experienced developers. It offers something for everyone to pick and choose from.”
Why Was It Translated?
Anyone dealing with cybersecurity, system administration, or software development will inevitably cross paths with curl one day. having the documentation of such a fundamental tool accessible in Turkish was a major deficiency, especially for beginners and those who want to master the details.
With this translation project, the aim is to bring this resource to the Turkish literature and to be beneficial to the community.
How to Access?
The book is completely free and open source. Her Yönüyle curl is available in the following formats:
- Web: Web version of the book.
- .pdf: PDF version of the book.
- .epub: EPUB version for e-book readers.
- html.zip: Single-page HTML version with images, created with Pandoc.
- mdbook.zip: Multi-page and interactive web version created with mdBook.
- Source Codes: github.com/fr0stb1rd/her-yonuyle-curl
The technical infrastructure of the project runs on mdBook and is served via GitHub Pages.
Contributing
Just like the original book, this translation project is a project that will “never be finished”. As curl evolves, the book will be updated, and as the book is updated, the translation will need to be updated as well.
If errors, poor sentences, or technical terms that need correction are found in the translation, contributions are welcome. Error reports (Issues) or corrections (Pull Requests) can be sent via the project’s GitHub repository.
Happy reading!
